I have # 2671 - ordered through my dealer in Houston. It's another pumpkin - orange w/black wheels. The registry doesn't include options, so I'm not going to go to the trouble of listing them.

Scott's car was not available for pics, but here is how C2 Design in Tampa, FL installed my roll bar as well as Scott's. C2 made plates similar to the factory Porsche plates, they welded them in place like the factory and then sprayed them with white primer and orange overspray to look like a factory install. They also cut out the carpet and rear shelf with great care - Factory ++ in my opinion.

The seats are factory seats, I went with smooth leather with Alcantara seat inserts vs. the flame retardant fabric seats. You have a choice regarding this issue. The harness is by Schroth and is factory spec, except I added the sub belt, vs. Porsche only includes the 4-point Schroth system with the "Club Sport" package.

Mine was built on April 24, last 4 digit of VIN is 2835. White with Silver Wheels, white mirrors and black end cap on wing, black decal. Xenon, Footrest aluminum, red seat belts. sticker 131,170.

Mine did not have plates for cage welded in. I hear reports that some of the earlier cars had them. Perhaps someone who had an early production can confirm.

I would recommend everyone get a certificate of authenticity from Porsche. Cost you a few buck but it is a nice piece of paper to frame up. Gives all the original built details of the car you own!

The Registry does include options and remarks, just click on the last four of the VIN.

Send Max Power a private message with your details.

Enthusiast - can you or Max summarize for us the Registry, i.e., how many cars, colors, options, etc? Thanks...

Back in 2006 I was keeping notes on who bought what and so forth, waiting for the call for an allocation, which I still have a deposit on at a small time local dealer. I realized early on that I may get shut out and end up with a used one.

I registered and set up http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/ My notes have become a simple web site for all to enjoy.

Sources of information are for the most part this forum on Rennlist, plus 6SpeedOnline, eBay, and car dealer web sites.

Most registries are for older cars like 356s or 912s, and all the early information has been lost. This would be a chance to capture a lot of the early information. Plus, if I can only get a used one, I'll know who has a green one without a lot of bling.

I will accept and add all the information you care to give. Dealer name, price paid, when you spec'ed it, if you paid MSRP or were charged a premium over MSRP, everything that's on the pro-forma invoice, when the build date was, dealer/salesman, date you took delivery, if you sell it - who it was sold to and for how much, what part of the country it now resides in, etc.

Also, let me know if the car came with factory Roll Bar mounting plates.

Here are a few good examples-

Ray Minella's:
http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/GT3RS/vin/2392.htm

one listed on eBay:
http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/GT3RS/vin/2801.htm

another Rennlister's:
http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/GT3RS/vin/2806.htm

one that I don't have a VIN for:
http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/GT3RS/name/SchmidtsCat.htm

I can add pictures. I don't post pictures without permission. However, if it's listed on eBay - I've been copying those pictures and adding them.

I want to get them all listed by their VINs. I'd like the complete VIN, or at least the last 4 digits.

The ones listed by names are the ones I don't have a VIN for. If someone takes delivery and sends or posts the VIN, I'll move their car into the VIN list.

I was just taking notes on the USA GT3 RS at first, but I'll list any 997 GT3 RS anyone is kind enough to tell me about.

Currently, there is information on about 120 USA GT3 RS. That's out of 213 delivered thru June, according to a recent post.

If your RS is listed and you have a photo, I'll be happy to add it.

Default The wait is "almost" over!

My orange one was born on Monday (July2nd). A few more excrutiatingly long weeks! VIN number ends with 3152. I will give more details after I empty the first tank of gas. Right now I have to start thinking about saying good bye to my faithful Artic 996. I will post a for sale message soon.
I was at Mid-Ohio on Wednesday and Thursday. We had torrential rain on Thursday morning, but as far as I was concerned, the sun was shining non-stop anyway thanks to another orange one present there! The owner did not know about Rennlist(!?). I will encourage him to share some info about his car.
