haha, that was actually a friend of mine with the 430 and GT3. My white GT3 was the one with all the graphics on it, his was the white one with no graphics. My best time was a 51.5 seconds. His was a 59. No doubt about it, the GT3 is an animal...
thanks for the compliments...

He might be referring to Pocono South, you know the 45 secs course.

Don't want to make any false claims for me but I'm sure the GT3 is faster than that and once you put Rcomps that's easily at least a second or more better depending on which tires you use.

And that's without the LSD the GT3 has.

The 911 doesn't need the LSD at that track.
The stock power curve on the 996 GT3 combined with long gears makes it an awful car at that track. The 997S shorter gears and better torque helps at that track, so I would say a 997S and a 996 GT3 at that specific track is a close call.

opps, sorry, you guys are correct!! I ran that time at Pocono SOUTH, not North. I havent had the car to North yet. Fastest guy in MetroNY around South ran a 49second in a fully stripped 2003 C2 "cup car" "replica". I was thrilled with my 51.5, especially with an air temp of 29F (no typo), brand new GT3 I wasnt used to, and my first time back on the track in 15 months.

You are right, shortened gearing on my car helped a lot at Pocono.

Indeed, it was Ed. After a long winter heavily modifying the car even more, he ran 49's at Pocono. I was in the car with him at the time, so, it is legit...
