Stop in and say hi. I allways like to talk Porsche's. Just tell the front office that you are looking for Joe. She will send you back.

Thanks for the offer Joe. I'd deffinately like to drop in. Maybe I'll pop in the next time I'm over at my buddy's hanger.

Joe, as soon as my car is up and running again I want to drive down and visit your relatives in person. Great genes!

You should be able to find a local metal fab shop that offers a clear span building? They usually have contactors that will put it up for a set price?? If you were in Oregon I could put it up for you.

The early cars are my favorate. They will be the last to go. Just got the Viper green car out of the shop. Gears make all the difference.

Good luck with the barn. Make sure you insulate it. I made that mistake on the my Pole Barn. Very moist in the winter.
$400K?! That's a very high per sqft but those numbers climb pretty quickly with load bearing concrete and massive hanger doors (I've already checked it out and quickly ruled it out for my "barn.")

My project is a bit over 4000sqft, single storey 30ft roof, clear span with solar powered climate control.

Once the permits come back from the county, I'll choose the pre-fab company, which is down to two of the huge companies that do metal buildings and their prices were both very good, but I'm still curious to check other buildngs.

I'll skip the details, but it does have an annex that's a full bath, living space, office, car detailing room, etc. I have a budget for the fixtures and fittings that will shrink or expand as the project unfolds once we finish the grading and the slab pour.

Probably the most interesting design feature is a cooling tower -- basically a tall chimney that uses a column of air to produce an abundance of cool air. Then that air is dehumidified and ducted around the building. Eventually, I'll have to find budget to increase the solar storage for winter. Happy to go a season and see what's needed.

Really looking forward to having enough space. Not looking forward to what happens when it becomes as clutter as the current 1500sqft space ... :|

It is quite difficult for me to find myself in envy of something, not because I am all high and mighty myself, but because I am content and very greatful for what I have. But this family pic just left me in awe. Never posted in this forum before, came looking for a blck/orange pic to send to a friend. So tip-o-de-old-hat to you mate, perhaps this could be as good as it gets... Enjoy in good health.
