About the lugs, I thought I would have to cut them a little but I guess I was wrong.
You are correct. The rears would be to long. I use the standard size (same as fronts) all the way around.

Something is weird. I checked the lugs and they are all the same length. They have a red collar. They are identical front and back, that's why I didn't want to shorten the rears.

They look great. i was looking at the CCW wheels before, but their other pattern was close to Fiske FM10's and I had those on my 930S and they were a biatch to keep clean. (Im also very lazy in cleaning my trackwheels). Now you've opened a whole new door for me.

I won't do Hoosier if you don't :-). I can't do Hoosier again anyway, I drive to the track. Besides, you know that you are in a win/win situation. If you keep up, or beat me, you're a better driver. If I leave you, you can blame it on my car being an RS. Either way, you win, I loose

Did they all have the red collar?

The 997 GT3 should have gold collars at the front and red collars at the rear (5mm longer bolts).

Those wheels look like these ones (10"/12") with 285/335 currently.

Did you have a chance to compare the weight differences between the stock setup and the new wheels?

John can build any offset up to 1/4" precision (around 6mm). For the GT2, go 12" ET45. For the front, use the 9" with the offset John has for them, you can actually run 9" ET40 on the GT2 in order not to alter the stock geometry.

These are the strongest wheels CCW has built to date, word from John, and word from me after 1 year with them.

Kev,

Next weekend they will go to the Spa. That is, cleaning, polishing, weight reading, and pictures.

They're in such great shape that I've to say thanks for the favor.

erik, your feb build RS should be reaching you in a few weeks i bet. if you do get the CCW wheels in 18" please let us know the offset, wt and if you are keeping the spacer or not. by the time you have it all set up, my car should arrive and i would love to have a set of CCW corsairs aka C14's.

another dumb question: why not just the wheel studs? i acutally like the look of studs sticking out. but dont know where to buy nicely made studes, bull nosed with no thread at the tip. i don want just some cut off threaded rods.
