Does anyone have any experience with a product called Clear plex which is used to cover the windshield and protect it from stone chips, etc? I guess its lick a clearbra but for the windshield. Not a whole lot of useful info on the net that I found yet. With the roads and trucks in Lowsiana, all my windshields have chipped surfaces and have had to replace the LR and the M3 in the last year.

Just got my 06 c2s yesterday and the dealer was pushing a product which guaranteed against chips/cracks for 4 years. I did not write down the name, it was something like "optix", or "optrix". I need to look into this because it sounded too good to be true, it also cut down on headlight glare at night.

carrering

would it require special windshield wiper blades? vinyl can scratch fairly easily. wouldn't take much to make it pretty annoying looking through it.
