Update:

Turns out it was the two exclusive options that I ordered (flaming dragon side panels and faux hoodscoop) that threw my car off kilter. After 'completion', went to the spa for such treatments.

Car is on boat as of yesterday.

So, be aware that if you get exclusive options on your car, you will be waiting an extra month to get your ride.

Received call from dealer last week, car to be completed 4/5 and delivered mid May to Pasadena CA, orange/blk. Did factory tour end of Mar, saw a silver u.s. car (glass windows) being built on assembly line. Looked pretty good. Can't Wait.

I don't get it. you said the car was completed but then an extra month for exclusive options. They build the car then bring it back in to finish? What are the exclusive options?

Apparently exclusive options on my car were deviated paint wheels and yellow seat belts. After cars go through the entire build process, 'exclusive' options are added on later, in a separate facility. They actually remove the original wheels and paint them.

At least that's what I'm told.

But now, it's on the boat and I'm most like up in Boston for business the week it arrives. Ugh, can't win.

But there's a thread on rennteam in which some say that exclusive options are added during production, not post production. Who knows.

Also, from the rennlist thread exclusive options generally begin with "C", the deviated wheels are CRX I believe.

I think you're right about exclusive starting in "C". Great, I got two of them. Gear lever trim and storage compt. lid w/ model logo. How F***ING dumb are they? They build the entire car but bring it elsewhere for seatbelts or something else as simple as that.

Yeah man, crazy. In all fairness, the belts don't get a C designation so it must have been the wheels.
