i priced it out about $151k car. so 35k+- mark up. my guess is they would settle for 30. not the most i've seen.

problem is with this car has too many, i think, junk options. gonna meet a bling buyer...

My first thought was the dealership ordered it that way "fully loaded" to try to play the mark up game. Can any of our rennlisters who are in the biz comment? Do dealers do this sort of thing on cars they assume will be in heavy demand?

Rumour I had heard several weeks ago was that in addition to the purported 229 cars there would also be an additional 30 "pool" cars, i.e., fully spec'd RSs given to dealers . . . perhaps this is one of those cars? Interesting that the detailed listing says "Limited Production for 2007" -- the implication being that there may be additional cars for 2008?

How funny do they think they are with the "997" part of the price ($185,997.00)???

Lot of bling, but it looks much better than I would have imagined! Would not have ordered mine that way. But there is a buyer for this car!

I am aware of two pool cars allocated to VIP's - one a friend of PNA President and the other ?. Both were dropped into my dealers inventory (first was already delivered, second later in the year) and they were told, not part of your allocation, but you get full profit on the cars, so they were very happy. They were allocated 5 cars, so as of now they will deliver 7 total.

Renngt2- I have to disagree with you, my father has bought a few cars from herb chambers and the service has been great. I believe they will sell this car for the markup seeing as it is not even as much as what is being asked on the other coast.

The 30 pool cars are not a rumor - My RS and my good friend's RS were allocated due to our "VIP" status with PMNA as racing sponsors. These cars came from the 30 pool cars per PNA. They were added to Reeves allocation last November and the cars are on their way - one arrives in April the other in May.

That's what they're doing out here in lil' Ole Ohio!
