DIN unladen weight is no occupants, fluids and 90% full of fuel IIRC

A litre of fuel weighs 1.66lbs. A full tank if 67l. 47L weighs 78lbs. 3227-78lbs equals 3149. 125lbs difference. But Bobby's car still has the heavy US seats.

Why are you being so negtive? Come to think of it, I hope this negative talk about the RS continues that way more people will decide that the RS is not worth the extra money and Porsche won't build any '08's. Therefore making our 07RS's probably the most valuable Porsche.
wehther you define unladen or curb weigth as with all fuel or 90% or 20L you will get different number for how far
porsche's quote is and it's not by a small amount..150 lbs or 200lbs?

now more important the difference with ROW sport auto's car weighed 3130 lbs with PCCB and full tank ...the extra 40 lbs or so in ROW full tank should cancel the PCCB and

so why is this car 100lbs less than the US one?

20 lbs for seats/rollbar and the remaining 80 lbs is DO stuff?

someone mentioned it also had A/C delete if so then another 40 lbs makes

DOT stuff 40lbs which is reasonable i know of a few cars that quote 40-50lbs difference between US and ROW cars

You forgot the floor mat option, they are about five pounds for the set (unless you removed them for the weighing).

Thank you very much for weighing your RS ! We appreciate the good data.

also as far as micth and darrell's cars difference is more like 40's lbs not that it matters

mitch 3230 with 2/3 fuel+ 1 996 gt3 seat(-28lbs)+ teq bar(-27lbs)+ trunk stuff removed(-10lbs)+ seat removed(+52 lbs) and 1/3 fuel (+35 lbs) = gives 40 something pounds mor than darrell's car

i have mentioned this before as far as ROW 44lbs savings US should be same with
sunroof delete= CF setas/rollbar= 20 something lbs

Is 42 pounds what Porsche AG posted as the PCCB weight savings over the iron brake system for the 997 GT3 model?

The 996 GT3 advertised PCCB savings number was 30 pounds.

These are Euro versions of the GT3 and GT3 RS. Both cars have PCCB. The ROW RS with no fuel would be at 3,005 lbs, adding US seats, US rear glass and removing the rollbar will make it a 3035 lbs car (US specs). I've no clue where are the additional 40 lbs of US garbage, but I would like to check behind those ROW bumpers.

almost right, but not quite. Need to add the weight of the trunk stuff instead of removing it again. You will get to ~60 lbs.

that's correct i did this in a hurry though i still think sunroof~ CF seats/rollbar

from 44 to 60 lbs is small enough that it could be due to errors in measurements etc

thanks for the article NJ-gt after thinking about the numbers i doubt that ROW RS had A/C delete as somone had mentioned becuase it would be heavier than the ROW GT3 with the A/C back

this would make the difference between that ROW RS and darrell's car if it had the ROW seats/rollbar 80 lbs? all DOT stuff insetad of 40lbs ?

and with the article you gave that ROW car had PCM, sport chrono and some other options i don't know (excuse my german) so there's even more than 80lbs to lose between US and ROW RS?

any ideas? this would be helpful

at least we are getting closer to understand the weights and getting consistent numbers
