Default white eurospec RS

Hi,

in the past months I was waiting for my RS to be built. During this time I was visiting this forum to check the latest rumors and enjoy the first pics and writeups of people who got their cars early. Thanks a lot for that!
Now is paybacktime . Picked my car up at the factory yesterday and drove it home with 2 friends in their 996 GT3s. Frontcage is still backordered, but will be fitted end of march before the track season starts. Hope you like the pics.

P.S. To all you white haters out there: Think (unstickered) Cup car!

This is the second Europoster with the plate number p-shopped.

Is there some kind of security issue with this in the EU?

Yup, white cage was via exclusive. Car was completed mid january, so it only took 4 more weeks for the white cage. Waiting is a fun thing isn't it?

Nice car!

Can you give me the code of the painted cage exclusive option?

Thanks.

There is no code (except "exc Abt.") in my order confirmation. They told me it only got available mid january and at that time it did not show up in their system. The Factory sticker on the cage says black. Hmmm.

Yeah, between the RS, TT and a dedicated track animal (not sure which yet but it is down to the finalists) I just don't see the need/use. At North of $250K tied up in a Queen that gets < 1000 mi/yr it makes no sense unless it were really rare and irreplaceable, which it is not. Any time I get the pang again I can find one

What's mean "exc Abt." ?

Cool... you wait an extra 4 weeks for the white cage.

I wouldn't mind to do that too!

Porsche charge how much for this exclusive option?

Thanks again.

The Euro rear bumper is so much nicer without the queer bumper humps as seen in US cars. Nice to see.

Is the Euro RS roll bar available for aftermarket install in the US?

Gorgeous!!!

Is the yellow stuff on the steering wheel a piece of tape, or what?

Its just a short term for exclusive Department, which shows that there was no code at that time.
As far as costs go, I almost do not dare to admit that I was stupid enough to hand them over 1.800 Euros just for getting the cage in white, which is the color it should have been in the first place.
They actually built the car with a black cage and then take it out again to paint it white and then install it back in the car. What can you say?
Together with the white car, that makes it a lean 5.000 Euro penalty for something that really should be no extra cost. This is really something where you have to switch off your brain in order not to go crazy about it.
But after all I think the white cage makes the case for the car. Especially once the front part is in.
