Default White GT3RS

I just saw a white GT3RS at my dealer. It was just off the transporter, dirty and still had all the protective exterior film and inside protection. Silver wheels, no decals. It will obviously look much better when cleaned, but IMHO the white looked underwhelming. Options were PCCB, xenons, PCM, chrono, mats and perhaps a couple of other minor items. MSRP was $142,000+. No full leather, which looked just fine. I was told the owner is going to put on blue graphics reminiscent of a 73 RS.

Thanks for the report. The colors continue to be a source of great debate.

You are correct...blue graphics go on this week. I do believe it will look quite spiffy that way.
BTW, evidently the factory is now providing white cars with black graphics/wheels.
God knows why the white is a $4300 upcharge...it is a no cost option on every other Porsche.

Yes , we discussed the 'rip off' charges for white paint and most agree it is very wrong.

I have not heard anything official about the white RS getting the proper black graphics. What is your source?

If they decide to offer graphics w/white now they will **** off a lot of people who went with orange or green, but would have chosen white with a graphics package - if available.

Really I do not think Porsche wants to sell the car in the United States of America. Look at he bull**** information from the start. O well I hope I feel better when I melt into the seat for the first time.

My source is a very good friend who was at the factory this week meeting with Klaus Bichoff (sp?) and others. AND he actually saw white cars with black graphics and black wheels.
They are available now, folks...

I was at Porsche Exclusive when I ordered my RS. If you like, they will do black or orange graphics (at a charge) on a white car before it leaves Stuttgart.

This is what my source at PCNA has told me.

"You must be on the short end of the vine.

Yes we have received confirmation from Germany that this is possible.
The notification has not gone out to the dealers as of today.

Just be aware that the options for black trim will add app. $4000 retail, and if the car is to be white that's another $4500."
From the info that I have received this week it will cost an additional $8,500 to do a white car with black trim.".

That is an outrageous fee. I'd rather take my money to Vegas.

The white charge goes far beyond even excessive profit, I don't see how anyone could feel good owning a white car under the circumstances.
