Does anyone have any info on Porsche's plans for 2008? Will they offer an RS version of the 997 GT3 in the US?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

I know that one of our local dealerships has taken deposits for three 2008 RS just in case. The salesman said the limited quantity of 2007 RS is very painful for him.

 

My dealer has taken deposits on (3) 2008 GT3 RS's and I am one of them... that's why I asked.

 

my dealer today said that they have no idea if they are going to get 08s. If so they already have deposits on what ever they get. They are getting 2 RS and 5 GT3s this year. They have 5 deposits on RS and 15 for GT3s.

 

FWIW, Winding Road article says that of the planned 700 RS's that will be produced; a healthy portion will be going to the US.
