information?
Did anyone ever reply to your question, maybe offline?
I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what the scoop is but I am wondering what other people are hearing.

I'm confused on the bar issue. Thought I remember reading that the RS bar wouldn't fit the GT3, but it looks like the original thread was deleted on 6 speed. It was referenced here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...light=roll+bar
But from the posts in that thread, it sounds like the RS bar won't fit b/c of the sunroof and/or needs fabrication work to make it a go.
A large race shop told me that the RS bar *does* fit, but won't be available for a few months. So, they are building bars in house. They also told me that the DAS Sport bar is no longer legal for club racing b/c of the way it attaches.
As for the tech bar, what's the difference b/t it and the RS bar?
Maybe somebody could clear this up?

I agree, I too am confused on the differences between the bars. I was also under the impression the RS bar did NOT fit the sunroof GT3 because the tracks for the sunroof are too low for the the upper cross bar to fit. I really wish we could get to the bottom of this nonsense already, before I purchase all the material necessary to make a cage myself from scratch!

I called Suncoast this morning and the person I talked to did not say anything about there being a delay for the rear roll bar. He said it was "European" and that they were available but I did not get anymore details than that. I have an e-mail into Phil at Suncoast Porsche to try to get some clarity on it all.....

I talked to Suncoast this morning. They did confirm that an ETA on the 997 GT3 bar is unknown. However, they suggested I might want to consider the 996 GT3 roll bar. They said it fit with no issues. Does anyone have any personal experience with putting a 996 designed bar into a 997? I am going down there on Saturday to look at it.

Carrera GT installed his 996 GT3 Dasport bar into his 997 GT3. It did hit the headliner in the middle of the roof, and was a little tight on the side frame. Other than that, it fit perfectly. Das is looking at the info to make adjustments.

If my memory serves me correct, the 996 GT3 seats will fit in the 997 GT3, right? The DAS bar fits, but snug. Will the 996 GT3 Teq bar fit in the 997 GT3?

I have a 996 GT3 techquipment bar in my car which I'd be happy to try and fit into someone's 997 if they want to spend a day sometime trying it?
