Default The Zen Of The 911

My friend Jazza described the 911 thus -

“Well, this isn't so much a car, more a place where a fat, balding, middle-aged man can go off and have his mid-life crisis ... I liked it a lot”

He always was sharp!

Exactly my sentiments. No better place to live one's mid-life crisis or not

I've heard that one a million times over espcially with Corvettes here in the USA. I'm in my mid 30's I guess I'm over the Hill.

LOL!
When I got my P-car, I heard this from a few. I'm 33 yrs old, 6 feet tall, and weigh 195 lbs. I hope I'm not in my mid-life!!! I have just come to a point in my life where I can afford a nice vehicle. They are just jealous!

I bought my first Porsche, a new 911S, with my own money when I was just approachng 22.

It was faster than all the British cars, apart from the XKE, and cooler than the Datsun, but most of the people who drove them were fat, bald and middle aged. Givcen this was 1968, and all those fat balding middle aged guys have stayed loyal, is it any surprise that Porshe uses old farts in many of its television advertisements, they know where their market is.

Porsche makes beautiful cars for old farts - my mother (figure how old she must be) drives a Turbo, she calls it a ***** cat.

FYI I am 5' 8" tall (used to be 5'10" but been in too many accidents), weigh 155 lbs and have all my own teeth.

Many of my friends are fat

I am 5' 9'' and 140 lbs, and I may boycott Porsche because their cars are overweight.

Most of my friends are not fat.

I am 63+ years old. weigh 205 and 6ft 1inch. I don't think age has anything to do with enjoying a porsche. It is a mind set of having fun, smelling a great interior, hearing a great sound, and enjoying the acceleration of a great car. I think when I am 73+ I will still enjoy it. By the way, I still have my hair and it is not grey. Love my new GT3. I took it to eat with my wife tonite and I have a hard time not not running it out in 2nd gear. What a great joy to hear that engine. What a great car. Best porsche I have ever owned.

Remember you are only old once. Enjoy life to the fullest. The next ten years of my life should be the best of what I have left. I am going to make the most out of it.
