I hope I get an allocation so that I can give it to a board member for free.

i think you know there is interest.
what you thought is there might be a big profit in it for yourself.
the dealer know your plans?
don't pull down enough bucks as a dentist?

Actually paid in membership fee today for a year. Not driven so much by big profits, but would like to recoup interest lost on my deposit. My dealer sez they have offers for 20 over from other dealers. Cheers

how much deposit did you put down?
that's a LOT of interest you want to recoup?

and the dealer is perfectly OK w/ you selling your position or flipping the car? cheers!
mooty he didnt say how much interest he wants to recoup?
dealers don't offer cash over to other dealers, they give up allocations or use other means.
i'd be more than happy to cover your interest and take over the position provided the dealer was OK w/ the transaction.

I may flip the deal or decide to take it myself. Not out to rip anyone.
Other 911projects require funding. Please stop shooting. Whats the wrong in silver w orange wheels anyway.

wayne...go play someplace else. You are not going to do anything except make enemies here. Trying to turn a profit on a "slot" that true enthusiasts wanting to buy the car were not able to get b/c some people are hording spots just to make a buck is just bottom-feeding.

ps. If you aren't out to "rip anyone" then why not GIVE the spot to somebody that truly wants the spot. Karma is a great thing.

How does buying a spot work? Is there a contract that can be bought and sold? Is this legal? Are taxes reported? What’s to prevent the dealer from selling the car to someone else if you weren’t on the list and have no contract if someone is trying to sell a spot on some list? Sounds risky to say the least.

I think I will go around to all the dealers now and put my name on the list for the 998 GT3RS and hand them out to only Rennlisters, true enthusiasts, to keep the allocations out of the hands of the speculative opportunistic pimps.

When will the bullets stop? OK then, consider the offer closed and my regrets for the intrusion. Peace on Earth!
