Default 19" Hoo Hoo's for Xmas!

https://www.hoosiertire.com/pb101006.htm

235 and 295's for less than $300 per corner - almost 40% less than Corsas or MPCS! Nice new option for track hounds

Nice, despite no 305s right now, a great development. Those skinny rears should be fun. heh.

Can you put 295s on standard GT3 rims? The GT3 rims are 19x12, but the chart indicates a recommended rim width of 9.5-11.0 inches for 295s.

The main R6 chart shows a recommended rim width of up to 12". Also, the recommended width for a PS2 is only up to 11.5" in the 305 size. I think it will be fine, and I bet the 295 Hoosier is wider than a 305 PS2 or MPSC

The 295 Hooter has a notably smaller sectional width than the 305 MPSC. Of course, they've been long known to be quite generous with their rubber despite what their written specs state. If so, the same is likely true of the fronts so you may have a slightly understeer biased setup with the Hooters.

If there is going to be a lesser rear/front tire patch ratio would that not lead to more oversteer?

whoops meant the other way around. . . oversteer

the hooter 295 section width is 11.5 on a 10" wheel (hooter link)

the mpsc 305 section width is 12.3 on a 11" wheel (tire rack)

On the same wheel I suppose the numbers would be closer.

I'm surprised that "understeer" is even in the vocabulary of a dRiFt wARrIOr like yourself
