The RUF RGT has been inspired by the legendary 1973 Carrera RS.
The high revving normally aspirated engine is based on the crankcase of the original 911-engine. It is equipped with dry-sump lubrication with a separate oil tank to ensure a reliable oil supply for the engine even at high cornering speeds.
The 3.8 litre engine has a high compression ratio of 12.0 : 1. The output of 445 hp (327 kW) is reached at 7,600 rpm.
Zero to 62 mph (100 kph) takes just a scant 4.2 seconds,
zero to 125 mph (200 kph) just 13.5 seconds.
The top speed is 197 mph (315 kph).
The RGT engine captivates by its spontaneous response behaviour and its distinct revving ability.
The RGT will be delivered in rear-wheel-drive and 6 speed transmission with limited slip differential and short shift kit serially.
The sport suspension is adjusted for road traffic as well as for track use by the help of especially adjusted Bilstein gas shock absorbers and chassis springs.
The standard RGT Coupé is equipped with an integrated roll cage which is covered almost entirely by the Alcantara of the A, B and C pillar. The crossbar can be demounted.

because its show time, and I'm not there, its hard to get exact weights at the moment. In any event, the weight will be governed by the options selected, for example -
lightweight doors
cf bucket seats
PCCBs
History has it that more race oriented cars will be made available.
Once the show is over I'll take one out for a drive, in the mean time I'm working on a sacrifice to the snow gods to make them hold off until after I've driven the car.
As far as the price goes, I haven't asked - and I'm not going to until after the show.
I shall renew my acqaintance with the 3.8 litre Suupercharged Cayman at the same time, it will be a tough call.

Hmm, I have to say I'm not impressed with the aesthetics.
While I really like the purposeful looks of the 996 mk2 RGT, this one looks less focused and a touch overwrought.
The treatment of the rear wheelarches is especially messy- the cut line of the sill being continued up along the leading edge of the wheel opening is too much and takes away from the lines and intent of the widened bodywork.
The rear bumper, a much improved version of the 997TT bumper, looks great on the RT12, but seems completely out of place on this car.
The 5 spoke Ruf modular wheels would've looked much better as well, IMO.
I'm sure this car has undoubtable presence in person, but the standard GT3RS bodywork is more appealling to me...

I priced out a US spec Cayman with the 3.8 motor and Supercharger with lightweight doors etc., it came in at about USD 185,000 before shipping.
Similar power (ignore the published figures for both cars), lighter, better chassis dynamics...

The cost of shipping will vary between about USD 3,550 and USD 13,000 depending upon shipping method and value insured. To this has to be added 2.5% duty and any state taxes.
If Ruf USA is offering the car, it might be simpler, but less fun to get one from them.

so you're saying they have more than 30% dif in the list you have and the list i have. (figuring 10k higher for the rgt over the rk cpe)
that's a huge dif in pricing.
how are prospective ruf buyers supposed to know the price cars can be purchased for if they give out dif price lists?
are they just hoping a sucker pays the higher price?
i never even consider purchasing a ruf after the quotes i receive.
not trying to be a smart *** robin.
i honestly don't get the way they do business.
