That's the one...except mine's due to arrive in late fall 07, spring 08 but that's okay because I need to driveway (2,000 Ft access road) paved and I need to build a new garage. Today it was right at the entrence of the showroom. Some lucky person was to take delivery today.

Hi, new user here, with a 997 GT3 on order for February production. Just posted an introductory thread.
I plan to daily drive mine: great new flat roads in Dubai, rains 4 days per year, no snow, no dew...
BTW, one really odd thing I noticed yesterday at the dealer's, looking at a GT3 waiting to be delivered in the showroom: it had a full flat bottom!
I read on this forum and magazines that Porsche had not put a flat panel under the 997 GT3 to save weight. Obviously, it is not true in this market. Maybe because of the dust on the roads???
Anybody with insight on this?
