Jeff, sorry I have been away in a very tough contract negotiation and could not respond promptly.

Colm is (as usual) correct. I got my allocations today. Trouble is my wife wants a white one - 6K extra for white. A rip off. There are 24 RS coming to Canada.

Jeff, I'm sorry to disappoint but my wife rates higher. As to your comment about women not deserving ... try and catch her on a race track before making that statement

My friendly dealer allowed me to browse the dealer info website and the mystery of the sun roof was explained. All the 997's have a sun roof because PAG refuses to crash test non sunroof cars. The RS is exempt by virtue of limited production.

Also of interest, PCNA is cross check names of buyers to avoid duplication and/or speculators which messed up the C-GT.

Best,

RR = I am told that the RS will be built over roughly ten months spanning two model years - cars built after August will be 2008. This was the same for the 996 GT3. OTOH, with Porsche, one never knows what limited production really means. I am still smarting over the 996GT2 which was to be a 2002/2003 limited production car. Nobody ever explained the 2004s and 2005s.

I don't think that 10% over MSRP is bad at all.

I'd like to join the list please. Please put me down for the very last one if thats OK, in green. By then maybe i'll be able to pay for it. By the way, if anybody wants my place on the list, i may consider selling it

10% over msrp may not be too bad but to me it makes the rs vs regular GT3 not worth it

i was told by a local dealer who is selling at MSRP that the guy who has his only slot is willing to sell it
for 40k over!!!

thanks for adding me to the list jeff

funny thing i was number 1 at my dealer and was number 2 for gt3 and untill a week ago wasn'tt really sure if i would go for an RS or not and suddenly rumours of white got me exited and then when i learned that dealer didn't get an rs i wanted it more!

looked around but since i have a white GT3 january build i couldn't get myself to go for over MSRP the difference between the cars is not worth it (20k already for white!)

i'll be happy to take my GT3 but who knows what happens till then

very true !

do you have a GT3 allocation as backup? or will you wait for 08 if you don't get
an 07 RS?

i would make sure i have one (or one of each) because i think soon after people realize they can't get rs's they will be taken

Another one here -- March build, which is the first RS at my dealer will be getting (two for the year) -- deciding on options as I write this.

I am first on the List at Porsche of Orlando, where I just got the first GT3 they delivered. However, they do not have the order guide yet which upsets me. Obviousely I have no idea when I'll actually get it.
