Seat swap
So how big a deal is it to swap out the front seat(s) (say, adaptive sport seats for CGT seats)? I've heard of some hard-core folks actually doing the swap before every track event. Legend or fact?
Thanks for the info.

Not too difficult to switch seats, but 15 minutes is rather quick. I am sure it will take you longer than 15 mintues the first few times. It takes me 10 minutes just to cover parts of the car that you do not want to get scratched -- of course, I am on the slow & cautious side. Also, the regular seats are heavy and take some time to remove/put back.

So, it sounds like the seat swap for track events is quite do-able, eh? Just out of curiousity, what seats are you running on the street? And what is the secret to the airbag warning light?

I only switched my seats twice. Once to put in a Euro GT3 seat, and once to put back in the original seat in my 996TT. In my GT3 I have the Euro GT3 seats and they stay in my car all the time.

if ou want to retain heated seats, power operation and/or airbag(s) for adaptive or sport seats it will take more than 10-15 min. if not it is only 4 bolts to remove the seat. airbag light comes on on 997s beacus of airbags in the seats not like in the 996. can be turned off by dealer.
