Default P-shop GT3...

Had a few spare minutes last night so I decided to photoshop the GT3 I want that the configurator will build but not display for me.

Carrera GT silver, black rims, PCCB (having tested them extensively I couldn't go back to the steel). I'm pretty hard core but I'd still order my GT3 with Xenons, Chrono and SatNav.

I believe that with the black wheel option, only the centers and spokes are painted black with the outer rims remaining the standard silver finish. They will not look like the completely black RS wheels. I think that there are pictures of a white GT3 with white painted wheels out there somewhere showing the outer rims left unpainted.

I think I like that even better.

Jon70 - you're right about the rims. the lip is silver.

Could always buy a set of GT3RS wheels and keep the stock wheels for snows;-)

Except the offsets are different and the GT3RS wheels would stick out approx 17mm on the back.

I am pretty sure those are two different options. I ordered the wheels to be a different color and then tried to change it to the option number that has the our part of the wheel painted silver but it was too late to change it.

Porsche will not paint the whole wheel. They always have the rim silver except for the RS.

oops...

Shane - is there a reason you know of? warranty problems with people chipping the paint off when they curb the rims?

I actually like the silver lip, especially if it's on a silver car. ties it together a bit.

Wow, if that is true about the silver lip, that is great news!
