Sadly a very good point. We'll just have to wait and see.

It won't be sad for me if they overbuild them and then I can afford to buy one used in a few years

We're getting a PC version without the shells, cage, and possibly without the ltw flywheel and possibly with the sunroof, and paying a premium for it. Does "bait and switch" come to mind? Car will still be awesome, but what question does it answer that isn't already covered by the non RS version?

No offence to any one on here but "official" and "dealer" in the same sentence is just hard for me to swallow...

It will be nice to finally get answers...

Or PCNA for that matter.

When I see a MSRP sticker on a car is when I will belive it.

Ditto that, there's been a lot of "official" wrong facts during last year or so!

The sad truth about exclusivity is that Porsche will build as many as they can sell. Just look at the GT. If there were ever a car that needed exclusivity, it was that one. I'm getting a GT-3 and waiting to see what happens with the RS. If it is really a special car, I will get one in a couple of years when I can just walk into the showroom and drive it home, possibly even with a discount!

The latest Panorama (which I received yesterday) has an excellent overview of the GT3, GT3 RS, and GT3 Cup, including specs.

Not worth it to me. GT3 is plenty of car. I'd think differently if it was the Euro version, but for the US, no.

My GT3 will in next month, I have not even thought about the RS.

I read that but didn't think it was excellent. It was quite cursory. He did a couple of laps around an oval at fairly safe speeds (did you notice they weren't wearing helmets?). I think the real difference will be in the rear suspension. That's the major difference. All the rest, even the hole, is superficial to me.

What's the rationale for the feds not allowing the cage? Non-helmet wearing head injuries?

Yes. Everything inside the car has to be soft.
