The guy that is fixing my GT3 cup body damage is also repairing a street GT3 which rolled over.

It's all apart and very interesting how the roof panels are attached. I bet he could put a new roof panel on a 997 GT3 for you, he might even have time, if we stop crashing our GT3 cups... could be a niche market for him, he's in CT.

I think PCNA is giving PCAG a snow job on the market. They're reporting excellent quarterly results (except for the inevitable 30% slow-down on the three year-old Cayenne.)

A symbolic gesture that gets intot he media so the Germans see it would probably do the trick. There's been various efforts at a coordinated representation. I was thinking something like sending the fuse for the sunroof. One fuse by registered mail from each person with a deposit.

I can't see the need for another production line. I'd be willing to guess that all the GT3s will be coming off the same line, regardless of whether they have the superflous hole in the foor.

Crazy thing is that only the poseurs will be ticking the sunroof box in the ROW. The British enthusiasts will be saving themselves £ 864.00.

Was a sunroof ever offered on the 996 GT3? I've seen hundreds of them but have never seen one with a sunroof.

Do the marketing gurus figure that they will sell thousands more GT3s just because they offer a sunroof? And why not offer the chance not to have a solid and lightweight roof on a USA Specced GT3?

The explanation I got was that they are not importing any 997s into the USA without sunroofs and that they would have to crash test a non-SR car to allow the GT3 in. Apparently the numbers just do not justify the expense.

A sunroof was not available on the 2004-2005 Porsche 996 GT3 street.
