I am on the list for a 997 GT3. I actually want the sun roof. Probably get full leather interior, too. When I get it, I look forward to seeing those that say it is a step down from the 996 GT3 on the track. We can have some fun!

craigsduc;
That is a reasonable question but the sunroof aspect has to stay on the list of issues. Please consider
- the numerous Rennlist threads on the North American versus RoW specifications and options
- look at the 997 GT3 car configurator on Porsche AG's website (Germany or United Kingdom)
- what has been removed from the GT3 RS for North America
- what Porsche marketing says, "Origin: motorsport" (race bred, racing history, race lineage) and what they are actually manufacturing
- analyzing what are technical gimics and what are real performance features
The 997 GT3 and 997 GT3 RS should be equal to or better in each performance category than the 996 versions but for North America they aren't.

I'm in this situation.
I drove my neighbours 997TT recently and adored it, have one on order for May 07 delivery
Same for a GT3 RS -
I need to drive the latter first to see if its worth upgrading.
