The 911 GT cars should be in one forum.

Very low number of cars produced worldwide. The most track oriented Porsches. The cars are very similar. Discussions about setup, track tires, brake pads, spring rates, etc, are common with these specifics track oriented cars.

Folks,

I am leaving the two forums as they are for the moment. I prefer to wait and see how things work once the 997 GT3s actually arrive. I observe that many who prefer one forum are 996 GT3 owners like me.

I admit that I reacted too quickly to pressure from those who wanted a separate forum, that was premature. Now that we have two of them, let's see what happens after the cars actually get here. If it still makes sense to have one forum, we'll merge them.

Interestingly, there are precedents for going either way. Consider the Turbo gang, different forums for 993T 996T and GT2 - which is very similar to the 996T X 51 after all. On the other hand the most active forum is 924/44/68 etc, all variations on a theme.

As you can see there is no "right" answer and whatever I do, some will be annoyed.

To summarize I will defer a decision until the 997s get here and the forum becomes active.

Best,
