Only tied by the 5 - E9x M3 I owned
Bought the 7.2 meteor grey in 2010/11 and I couldn’t drive for ****, no track experience really, wondered why the brakes squealed and daily drove it like I have all my cars really till the RS now. Didn’t own it long but had a blast with it. Ran @sharkwerks CMD on it and bent a wheel at first track my buddy took me to at streets. Then did Europipe full muffler delete which was epic but so loud removed it after a month. Bought the silver 7.1 GT3 from NorCal in 2019. Previous owner did a crazy build with it and put back to stock…interior bits rattled quite a bit and never fell in love with it which I’ll get to why on the yellow car. Sold it after a couple months…The basalt black .2 I bought and owned for 1 week and sold to my friend Josh again didn’t fall in love after my modded 993 it just didn’t feel analogue enough again which the ilk get to with the yellow .1. After owning my 996GT3 for a year or so and sold it. I LOVED IT. Market went crazy and couldn’t resist the profit on an immaculate example. Sold it and then one day my buddy @gt4la sent me the yellow car as I was chatting with someone in AZ and car was in AZ and bought it same day. Had a huge line of buyers I said shut up and sent money no questions asked. The car was mechanically DIALED IN! Driving one one a guards LSD and good alignment changed it completely. The rear end was just amazing. It felt so different than the others I had owned. Then putting the short R&P in it it became a new beast. To me the R&P and LSD absolutely MAKE these cars. I loved it. Which brings me to today….GT3RS. The 🐐 and pinnacle of 997/RS minus the 4.0. It arrived with Tractive / DSC Coilovers, ERP Drop Links & Tarett suspension bits, OS Giken Diff, & Dundon Headers. She’s a beast. Yes my 996 needed and LSD which I added. They’re both amazing in slightly different ways. I’m lucky to have experienced so many cars….the list grew…

Jesus Sam, you my friend need a Montana LLC. I do envy your experience with all those vehicles. I tend to hold on to my cars. Heck I still have the Sprint Blue RS4 that I brought to those Pasadena Audi night meets. I remember your RS4 with the Tubi exhaust, which I think you parted ways with for a Gintani M3.

 

Great story and thanks for sharing! I still and only have my 06 E46 M3 ZCP (wanting to do a FULL, nuts and bolts off resto-build on it) and the only cars even interesting to me right now are a 997.1 with an DSC/R&P/Guard LSD, maybe a sharkwerks 4.1 OR an ND2+ Miata with an HKS Supercharger.

yep I hear that. There isn’t too much that spikes my appetitive and don’t think I have anywhere else to go in terms of cars. Hopefully I just feel rich enough to hold onto the RS forever.
