As part of our deal the dealer was supposed to order the missing rear carpet in the back which they did but apparently the portion that says "RS" is on a backorder and requires a custom production run which could now be months. I told them to ship it to me when it arrives but anyone have other sources of getting that carpet? They received the upper shelf but not the lower bit.

Beautiful pumpkin! I had been watching that on Porsche Vancouver’s site. Great pickup! I can confirm that “personal use” Canadian imports do not require a cluster swap. I changed the units per the settings on the cluster.

The only other thing that’s lame is California use tax on top of the duty. That wasn’t fun to fork over.

I think these are the part numbers you’re looking for. Design911, AutoAtlanta, and RosePassion are where I’d check if you’re trying to get new pieces.

Thanks, the dealer said they ordered the right part numbers but Porsche has none in stock for the RS and has to manufacture it. I’ll try and call those places you mentioned to see if they have any in stock.

Update on the car itself, there was an issue with enclosed pickup which has been pushed to this week. Car is now sitting in the showroom all cleaned up and waiting for pickup/start the import hold process.

Good progress though. Soon you'll be taking pictures in the flesh . . .

The car was finally picked up today to make its short drive over the border. Now the cluster swap begins along with the 30 day import hold.

I finally got the good news that the car has been approved by NHTSA and should be picked up tomorrow from the importer's office to be shipped to me in Los Angeles. Have to settle up with the importer since the CAD exchange rate went higher during this whole transaction and a few other costs they added that I'll argue about tomorrow.

Hoping no surprises when I receive the car!
