Oil Level

Noticed when checking the oil as soon as the car is parked, it displays the level at the bottom arrow, but if i park and let the car sit for a few minutes then recheck, it displays the level at the top arrow. This is after the car is driven a fair distance with fluids at operating temp. I've read the Porsche Technical Bulletin for checking oil on the 997 GT3 and RS but it mostly just specifies that oil temp needs to be at least 90° C, and coolant temp at 80° C. I'm not sure where the oil level sensor/sender is located but I assume the variance has to do with oil settling back down after the car is left off for a bit.
Anyone have similar experience and what is the proper time to check?

First off, thanks for sharing the document. I hadn't seen that.
Regarding the oil level sensor location, it is located all the way on the back right side of the engine near where the filler neck is. Typically when I get back from a drive, I will check the oil level a few times back to back. I typically will also notice that right when you pull in, the oil level will maybe display a bar lower than after letting it idle for a minute. I've also had the same thought that maybe it's some more of the oil coming back into the tank?
I will note that I had my oil level sensor replaced a few years ago, it didn't improve accuracy much and is quite expensive due to where it is located, so I wouldn't necessarily go down that path unless it seems very inaccurate.
