Default Looking to trade my 997.2 GT3 RS for a 991 GT3 Touring

I am contemplating trading my 12k mile 2010 GT3 RS for a really nice Touring. My car is a 3 owner example and I can put you in touch with all previous owners. I comes with every piece of paper since new. A clean DME with 77 in Range one and 0's in all other ranges. Just had its yearly service 2 weeks ago, Oil and filters change, brake flush, and gear oil change.. Full PPF, Ceramic coating and a lot more.. As for the Touring I am looking for: Any color is fine, black will go to the end of the list though. I prefer cars under 10k miles ( lower the miles is better) with PPF, clean DME, service records, not paint or bodywork, and NO Buckets. Front axle lift would be a plus. I realize my car is worth more than the current market on 991 Touring models, so this wouldn't be a straight trade. Not really looking to sell outright.

I have the title in hand.

White-Gold RS, you might be able to get a 992 ST allocation with the right dealer.

Good Luck!

Why selling already? Didn’t you get rid of a touring not long ago?

That is true, but my wife said the touring is the only GT car she would ride with me in. The struggle between hard core and more supple ride. That epitomizes my marriage.

Happy wife happy life….driving 991 back to back with my car *same road* 997 is more raw in every facet, including ride.

Sport 4s tires do soften things up, but look worse IMO and fluctuate temps much more than Cup 2.

PS4 + DSC Controller, the 997 will ride better than the 991. I found the rebound to be a bit extreme on the 991s. If you hit a series of bumps in the road you'd fly out of the chair in the 991.

I think you probably failed the first week RS requirement check list which includes taking your wife on the worst road in town in sport mode so she never even considers wanting to ride in it again

I know it’s sacrilegious but when I was having similar convos I found that my wife is much more comfy in an R8 V10 Spyder… the manuals seem to be holding

I don't have an RS but my wife would not ride in my 997.2 GT3 after only about 10 minutes around the neighborhood. It's been almost 2 years since she sat in that car and she kinda just accepted that it's "my" car.

My son on the other hand LOVEs it

lol ... i think most of us can relate. The ride quality and NVH in these things is fairly brutal by any modern standards, especially if you don't have good roads around. They are really only tolerable if you're a die hard masochist that really loves the uncompromising driving experience. I drove mine on a 600 mile trip and my ears were still ringing 24 hours later.

+1 on this ... especially after PS4S are broken in ... car rides really well now.
