Hello, I am the owner of an early production 997 GT3 which was first registered on 28/02/2006 and is car no. 73. It also has option code 741 Press Car. have also found out which registration number the car had when it was used as a press car. SGO-5104 and have found several pictures online of it. But does anyone know or can help me find something more about my car? possibly, who can I contact to get information on where/what the car has been involved in during this period and possibly, where the production of these Press car cars was done? I really appreciate all the tips.

You're in Norway it looks like. While there's some info on the US Press car and US auto show car, I don't have info on the Norway car unfortunately. Best of luck!

I don’t believe production of the press cars was done somewhere other than the normal assembly line but I could be wrong. They were typically run pretty hard, but taken very good care of mechanically. I would research and collect all the period press pieces featuring your car and make a little folder with all of them. If you can find an original copy of one of the articles, or even a cover, that would go in a frame on the wall!
