Bay area, 997 GT car meet up?
As the title says, I’m curious where fellow Bay Area 997 GT* owners periodically meet up.
I went to the EASY meetups in Emeryville a few times, but that seems to be skewed toward longhoods and the few GT cars I have seen are of the 991 generation.
I’d be interested in meeting periodically. I’m located in the East Bay. I get it; this is the public Internet so if you prefer to DM, that’s totally fine.

Not sure of any 997 GT concentrated meets. EASY probably is as close as you can get. Maybe create a thread here for the next one?

East bay as well, as Chris says start a thread or use this one as a 'catch all'.

I have a group of friends all with 997 GT cars in the Bay and we've been talking about doing a meetup at Ocean Beach one morning. Anyone here interested in joining us? Maybe sometime in late June?

Thanks for the replies. I think the next EASY event takes place June 3rd, so that's a possibility. I'm also open to meeting this Sat / Sun at City Center in San Ramon, or at Blackhawk Plaza. @ThePhanatic Ocean Beach in June might be a possibility. @ngng I was thinking of more of a meet-n-greet initially but I'm open to drives.

Also from the east bay. Happy to meet up. Any of you drive 9 / 35 / 84 also? I go often on Sat/Sun morning/early afternoon so I am open to drive there if any of you also want to drive as a group.

@gt3ftw I used to hit 9 and 35 but given how popular they are and the number of cyclists I no longer head out that way. Here is a good crowd-sourced list of drives. In my experience, considering (1) proximity to the "core" of the Bay Area, (2) pavement quality, (3) twistiness and (4) lack of traffic, it's hard to get more than 2 - 2 1/2 of these factors on any one drive

So far I am still pretty happy with 9 and 35 despite the cyclists and its popularity, and I am not driving super aggressively, but I am happy to find other drives, bonus would be if closer to the east bay, but so far I am have not found another drive I like more yet.

We have a crew of friends with GT cars, but not focused on 997s.

@Breakthru this wasn't meant to be a call only for 997 GT* cars to get together; as a matter of fact getting GT cars of multiple generations together would be cool.
That being said, how about this Sunday May 28th at 9am at City Center in San Ramon, on the eastern corner where Philz Coffee is?
