There are actually a few minor differences between 2010 and 2011 GT3RS, but it is basically the same.

1. With the new intake design for the 997.2 GT3RS, the early 2010 cars had faulty flaps where the air intake manifold disintegrates and will damage the engine. 2011 cars fixed the issue, some countries had this recalled but not all.

2. 2010 cars have a grayish trim color steering wheel and interior, 2011 cars have black steering wheel and slightly lighter gray trim. The steering wheel trim is the best way to distinguish the model years.

3. 2011 is 1 year newer than 2010

Wrong, as this was a problem with 2010 and 2011 both the 3.8 and the 2011 4.0. The 4.0 failures was the cause for WC512 Replace resonance tube / 6600 Workshop campaign that applied to all .2 RS, GT3 resonance tube is different

Wrong, all .2 997 from base 2009 Carrera to to the 2013 Turbo S all had the same bright silver trim. All .1 2005-2008 had the darker volcano gray trim. The .2 steering wheel trim color was dependent on options

Correct, yay

From my understanding all the 997’s got the bright Galvano Silver trim on the places such as the vents and dash trim strips as standard except GT cars and base Carrera models which got Volcano Grey. The .2 RS steering wheel trim as standard was finished with Volcano Grey trim unless the leather or thicker Alcantara wheel was selected then it would come in black trim.
