Default Which OEM car cover to use for 997.2 RS with taller wing?

Hi RL,

Not sure if this has been covered. Tried to search with no good results.

Have a 997.2 RS with taller Salter Aero uprights and a oem cup lip.

Currently using a 991 RS car cover which is of course too large for the car and drags on the floor/wheels.

With my current setup I have two options:

-OEM 997 RS car cover (may stretch a bit to fit taller dimensions front and rear)

-Porsche Motorsport 997 GT3 Cup car cover. (May be a bit saggy in rear due to not having a cup wing)

Have any of you tried these options with these mods?

I could only find the part number for a 997.1 GT3 Cup, which I believe is narrow bodied. If someone has the part number for the widebody version that would be awesome.

Thanks!

ken

I have a Coverking Satin Stretch and it fits my 997.2 RS with some room to spare. It looks to be a bit more expensive than the Porsche one which is surprising.......

How much taller are your uprights? I can go see how much it stretches up if you want.

Baron uprights fit perfect in the factory indoor cover. Are Salter's taller?

I think you are limited by the wing shape and not the uprights.

Tested today. The indoor cover fits over salter aero even with the bigger 4.0 end plates and 4.0 canards in front.

Thanks all! I will go for the oem indoor RS cover. Looks like there is enough stretch.

the Salter uprights are of similar dimensions to the baron uprights. If i recall only an inch or two taller than stock.
