Hi, I am looking for advice as to what this mysterious sound may be. I drove 100km yesterday - first drive of the season. Upon parking in my garage I shut the car off and locked the doors when I heard this sound. I know these cars make some ticks and knocks but this one surprised me. I assume it is plumbing. I am hoping this is not concerning. The sound was coming from under the front windshield on the passenger side. 997.1 RS
Please advise. Any thoughts shared will be appreciated.

Also when you post the video, if you can add additional detail to when it happens such as car on but engine off (key position 2), or engine on, car moving vs parked, air conditioning on vs off, climate control on vs off, whether it’s audible from outside the car or only inside, whether the car has had a windshield replacement, those may all be useful.

 

Hey Guys please observe my link. This sound was happening after a 100 Km drive. The car was hot and had just been shut off - key removed from ignition.

Well that's a new sound.

 

Sounds like something coming from the speakers? Try checking pcm/speaker fuses?
