Default RS service- what needs to be done?

My RS is going in for annual service. Car is 100% stock except for Sharkwerks bypass. Car has 6900 miles. I've owned it since 2012-bought from a friend at 2k miles. What should be done in addition to oil change and routine inspection?

Depends on what was done 12 months ago on its last service but if it was mine..... an oil change, wipers, cabin filter, air filter. Heck Maybe just an oil change.

has it ever had the brake fluid flushed, spark plugs etc? You clearly don’t drive it much but those plugs can rust after a while.

service schedule is time or mileage whichever comes first. check that. there will be several if younhavent done in 10 years. cabin filter, engine filter, plugs, etc.

edit. drive it more so the mileage comes before the time…. tempus fugit

Off the top of my head:

Plugs, coils, trans/diff flush, oil change, drive belt, engine and cabin air filters, power steering flush, coolant flush, brake flush. That’s the stuff I did when I was doing my coolant lines, along with a fresh coolant expansion tank a year later. Not all of that is required but it’s things that I think are good to do if you’re wanting to reset the car.

Edit: this is provided plugs, coils etc have never been done which is what I’m assuming.

I've serviced it according to age not miles, so for example did the 40k service interval in 2020. Transmission fluid done last year. Spark plugs, pollen and air filter, brake flush, new battery all done in 2020. Sounds like I should ask for power steering flush, coolant flush, engine belt in addition to oil change this year. I don't see that they did coil packs with the plugs (something I've done in tandem in the GT4 but didn't know it was also an issue on the RS). Going to install new Cup2s as well.

Here's a list-I do pretty much all of it myself, the belt you can get from Autozone, same exact Continental, newest version/compound at Autozone for about $25. There's a lengthy thread on spark plugs-Bosch doesn't make them any more, go with the NGKs
I would not do a power steering or coolant flush, no need.

And these days, if you already have a laptop, you can get PIWIS III with VCI for about $500, everyone should have it

Looks like PIWIS is not Apple compatible. But I could use on the Clubsport for sure. Also- do I need to do coil packs on the RS? Seems like not necessary.

I mean I don’t have to tell you this… it’s a collector car now, if you don’t plan to keep it I wouldn’t. But if you do imo every wear part should be replaced eventually so you know what schedule it’s on.

I used to run PIWIS on my Intel Mac laptop with VMWare, but the laptop had the graphics card failure and I bought a new M1 Max Mac, which is Silicon, and I can run Windows 11 on it-but because it still doesn't support all drivers, it can't run the VCI for PIWIS yet.
So I bought a cheap used Lenovo for $189, and have Piwis running on it, which is better in a way- a dedicated laptop just for the car. These Lenovos can be bought on eBay, craigslist etc. Average price $200
If your Mac is Intel, you should be able to run Piwis with VMware Fusion no problem.
Also, I think that the coils were different on .1 and .2 cars, can't remember for sure-

RIght. Yes plan on keeping it. Regretted selling my first one and found its twin. Still love the times I drive it. Illogical and emotional attachment, but I won’t sell it. Plugs were done- need to see if they did coil packs.

I'd only do coils next time you do plugs. No need to do them since plugs were just done in 2020. Since I don't DIY, it makes sense for me to have as many things that I can justify at once. I'd rather not have my car sitting at shops multiple times a year. Regarding the coolant and power steering, that fluid is fine too, but given I wanted to baseline reset my car with maintenance, I tried to do as much as I could while I was having the coolant lines pinned. Just like brake fluid probably doesn't need to be done every 2 years, I just do it and follow the guidelines. Even oil, with the miles my car sees (2k miles/yr), I typically get my oil analysis back saying the oil is perfectly healthy. Just makes me feel better to do some of these items, whether or not it's actually needed. Like Porsche has a time and mileage interval for plugs, I think most of us would agree that plugs shouldn't seize to the block in 4 years, but I do use it as a general guideline to follow.

+1 to a cheap laptop. No reason to mess with a VM or dual boot these days. I bought a cheapo Celeron laptop for $200 5+ years ago to run random PC car apps and data analysis. It's nothing to write home about but it works well and as a bonus can be left in the shop.
