Default Amplifier Harness Plug

Hello, I have a 997.2 GT3 that had an aftermarket sound system installed in it when I purchased it. I am putting it back to stock, but whoever installed it, cut off the harness plug that goes to the amplifier under the passenger seat. I have attached a couple of pictures and circled the connection on the amplifier that I am trying to find a plug for. If anyone has any idea where I can source one, I would appreciate it.

Cut amplifier wires under passenger seat.

Need the harness plug that goes into the amp.

Have you looked in the frunk for that plug?

If you can get a couple clear pictures of the connector with the markings and different angles, then head over to to Mouser Electronics use their online customer help chat and send them the photos, they’ll find the right connector & pins for you.

Is the amp not located under the passenger seat like in this example photo attached?

It probably is but if I were to cut a connector I would leave it in the car so I wouldn't lose it and it wold be there for the next owner. Just a thought. Look around the car as it just might be there.

I'd contact a few dismantlers and ask if they can cut the correct plug from the loom. Ask them to leave enough wire on the connector and just solder/hearshrink the wires. You then have the correct plug with correct wires and just have to match up the wire colors and repair the loom.

This should be the same on all models and there are plenty 997's (or Boxster/caymans) available at the breakers ;-)

I got a harness connector from a dismantler, but couldn't find one specifically from 997.2. Does anyone have a stereo wiring diagram? Or would anyone be willing to take a picture of their amplifer harness plug (under the passenger seat) and post it, so I can wire it up correctly? Thanks

.1 vs .2 may also be different. I believe the amplifier is in the front trunk for .1 cars (like ours) and under the passenger seat for .2 cars. I don’t have access to my car at the moment (it’s in storage) but I don’t remember seeing anything under my passenger seat. I have the amplifier in the frunk since I have sound package plus.

You are correct, the .1 and .2 amplifiers are in different locations. I need to see the harness connector or wiring diagram for a 997.2 (amp under the passenger seat). Thank you for your response.
