i think I figured it out, the texture and viscosity is a product of how warm you heat it. I ordered some from Austraila, will let you know thx for the help.

Let me know how it works out. Test it on some cardboard first.

follow up:
I found one from a dismantler dated 09, so all is good & done. That was fun. I'm a driver / enthusiast with a flair for Concours & originality,... so this search was fun for me.
Btw, the dealership got me one so I could see what the datecode was (newer), so I did not keep it. $85 was a good price from them though (& they do that for me, & do not charge any shipping back&forth from their warehouse, so it is a nice a option they provide).
