I used to do SCS all the time, but it kinda faded away over time.... was a good chance to hit up the Malibu canyons after. trying to be more social after 2 years of covid lock down bs and a year of rebuilding a house and having my cars squirreled away in storage.... !!!! All mine are classics at this point (07 RS, 91 C2 hotrod, 71 sleeper)
Supercar Sunday is not what it used to be. Ever since Woodland Hills Porsche took over it's pretty much a biased event. Just look at that marque schedule.
Same experience here. It was good a few years before covid. We stopped going maybe 2017-ish. And yes, those canyons were great assuming you could hit them before too late in the morning. Would be interested to hear OP’s opinion about the event now if they do go.
I'm thinking of taking the 987 Spyder to Finish Line on Sat. It's over 10 years old so it's a Porsche Classic
Can you please tell me when does the show start and what parking is like over there? Thanks!

I'm not sure what time it officially starts, but I was there a couple of weekends ago and people started arriving around 7am. The lot was pretty full by 8am. Maybe arrive earlier this time since it's expected to have a large Porsche turn out...
My 997 Speedster would look good next to your 987 Spyder
looking closer at the website, it actually looks like this week is features the classic shelby/ford GT this week, although since it is put on by a Porsche dealer, would make sense that there are predominantly Porsche cars there. (Ive been to San Clemente Cars and Coffee several times, its close to my home, but frankly Id rather talk to a lot of Porsche purists that a bunch of dudes in their wrapped florescent Lambos.

The kids don’t even know what it is. Wing too small.
Nephew (8) just wants pop up doors. I give up.
It’s probably better this way I’ve never been one to be showy.

lol. It’s a good teaching opportunity. I remember when my dad had a 1980 911SC and seeing a countach and saying, “would you rather have one of those?” And I was surprised to hear him say, “no”, and the many reasons why. Now In his mid 70s and taking delivery of his 992 GTS within the next few days (traded in his 991.2 C2S to get allocation).
