Well, it didn't take me to get a data log on my Dragy to see what I'm dealing with, and the results are quite promising. I typically run my 60-130 mph pulls in 4th gear to reduce the variable of shift times, and of course the car can do it in a single gear.
My best ever result with low fuel load, cold air temperatures and plenty of opportunities was a 9.06 second pull. I have quite a few sub 9.20 runs, but this was my all-time best. 1294 feet for the pull.
Today, as casually as I could do it, in fairly high (+50 degrees) ambient temperatures, 3/4 tank of fuel, and a passenger, I did an 8.66 second pull. There is plenty more to come with optimizations. So, I am .4 seconds faster right off the bat. 1252 feet for the pull.
Plenty more to come, and of course I have an exhaust to add to the mix soon too.

Just remember that with the hotter tune, its a good idea to also go with some larger ICs. Our .1 cars came stock with the same ICs as the regular .1 997TT. The .27GT2RS came with larger ICs to better match the hotter tune on those car (same engine and same turbos as our .1 cars), so following what Porsche did, go with the larger ICs. Here is the data from Todd on my car with the tune, SW center delete, and stock ICs. He knew I still had the stock ICs even though her never physically saw my car:

OK, my SharkWerks exhaust just came in recently and I'll be starting the installation of it today...which is a great reason to start a new thread. So, to close this one out I wanted to share my second and final Dragy datalog with the tune only from SharkWerks/EVOMSit flash.
Baseline 60-130 = 8.66 seconds
Final 60-130 = 8.48 seconds
Although still not optimal as I could carry less fuel load, I think this is more representative of the gains this tune gives as a 'casual' before 60-130 would be around 9.20 seconds whereas a 'casual' after 60-130 is 8.48 seconds. It's quite noticeable what an improvement this is, and I will have new performance results once the exhaust is on.
Highly optimized conditions, no passenger, no tune (4th gear)
Un-optimized conditions, passenger on board, SharkWerks tune only (4th gear)
Un-optimized conditions, no passenger, SharkWerks tune only (4th gear)

My car came with the evoms tool but I've switched out the sharkwerks with soul sides and center. Basic question - do I need to retune my car on a dyno or can it be done just by adjusting settings at home? My gut says its the former not the latter but I helped flash my friends e92 m3 after he added Venturi parts and obviously it was sans dyno, this is where I'm a bit confused.

I think Evoms intelligent tuning will adjust accordingly. Just drive it.

Congrats Steve! Tunes on turbo cars make a huge difference. I would at a bare minimum investment the $1500 into the OEM 7.2TT intercoolers. They are a huge improvement over the OEM 7.1 ICs. Huge... The 7GT2 and TT cars really need better intercoolers as the VTG turbocharger hot sections are extremely small with a lot of back pressure. As such the turbos pump a lot of hot air which heat soaks the stock IC quickly.
