Does anyone have any information on the 500 built regarding.
Do they all have the same emission systems, Euro-USA?
Any known pit falls of bringing one in from Europe?
Thanks in advance.

Hate to burst your bubble but only these Porsche vehicles are eligible for importation.
997.1/.2 GT2/RS are not eligible. This would require petitioning with a registered importer.
non US cars may have all the proper emissions hardware but will have to be certified that the car meets or exceeds EPA standards. The bare minimum for this process is $15,000 usd. Plus 3.0% duties on declared value, shipping, satisfying the NHSTA to the tune of an additional $15-20k and about 6 month of time.
If anyone would like further on this. DM me.

As far as I know, the Euro cars are not EPA or NHTSA certified and not eligible for import until they are 25 years old. I'm not aware of any way of simply importing a european modern car without spending tens of thousands of dollars trying to federalize it.

Thanks, I think when they built the 500 run they were all the same, from what I have heard. The US ones got paperwork.
Trying to get to the bottom of it, some one will know the story.

I don't understand what you are trying to figure out. It's no different than any other car. Every car has an portion of production that is spec'd and delivered to specific markets? Out of the 500, something like 120 came to N Amercia (I'm estimating). I'm not being a jerk but what is the mystery? At some point they get grandfathered and can cross certain jurisdictions. Until then, buy a car that was delivered to the market you live in

Needs to be CND plated and insured to be able to drive in the USA. Good if you have property or other means of registering a vehicle in Canada.
