If you were to park money in anything - 997 GT cars make a lot of sense...no matter where someone is located.

I know that seems counterintuitive parking money in a sportscar, but GT3 cars have never been more popular, it is everyone's dream car at the moment and the 997 is the best of the bunch IMO - They were not made in huge numbers, very unique driving experience.... If values drop they are not going to drop off a cliff and they will continue to trend up the next 5-10 years, despite any short-term correction or flattening that might happen during that time.

Just my $.02

The value for me personally is I can drive my car w/o constantly worrying about values, because I know this car is going to continue to hold a good value based on the unique driving experience "a rising tide lifts all boats" even the ones with miles

if you look at the results, you'll see that one particular 'moron' is either collecting or setting aside an inventory of GT3s.

check out snaveed's activity on BaT since June - he bought the $309k car. he's in for $2.7M+ over that stretch.

Snaveed’s BAT profile with his history. He’s also been buying up manual R8’s (has bought 4x manual R8’s on BAT) and 911 Turbo’s (3x 997 Turbo’s and 1x 993 Turbo). This has all been happened since June 2021 and he doesn’t even hesitate to put in counter bids. Seems like as long as there is someone else to bid against him, he’ll keep going forever.
