It looks huge because it is Panamera like from a distance.

People who don’t know or care about cars are in charge of legislation over them. Something very odd about that. No wonder 60-70’s are the golden era of cars. RS was born in that era just sayin

... that just sounds like stupid nonsense to me, and I know Porsche engineers do not put a fake door lid that goes to nowhere & does nothing (but supposedly there just to make things look symmetrical?? ... WTH).

somethings weird about reading that info. I need more.

... I know I should SAY that I could care less about some little fake lid on a 992 GT3,... but my curiosity is getting the better of me
Seems like Porsche engineers are getting caught up in the “woke” nonsense where things need to be equitable. If one side has a door, well to be fair why shouldn’t the other side?

God, at least the 997 was made and engineered when thought dictated results as opposed to “feelings”

can you imagine this “woke” generation having to deal with the Axis powers? Omfg.

Until recently, the majority of Porsche 911s were purchased in the US. Today, the cosmetic and ergonomic engineering favors demands of Chinese and ROW customers.

Ok, so now Feng Shui and the “woke” disorder have now influenced engineering and design.

997> by far.

992 GT3 is ugly, Touring doesn't make much difference.
Hood and front bumper are horrible.

997 GT3 RS for life ! ! !

Watching that video made me want to go out to the garage and hug my 997 GT3.

Waxer- we'd get along as well... bought my .2 GT3 in 2011. It was over a year old and had 800 miles on it. My son and I flew out to TN to buy it and put more miles on it the first day that it had had since new... it's a keeper in our family along with the 914 I've had since new. Luckily both my boys inherited the car gene. I also have a 991.1 turbo S coupe as a DD- yeah, it is definitely bigger but a perfect DD.

I'm on a list for a new GT3 but probably won't pull the trigger as I'm far enough down the list that the world will probably be destroyed by then considering who's pulling the strings in DC and beyond.

So to add to the general distaste of the 992 and my distaste for first time GT car buyers who are worried about the wrong **** I posted on an Porsche Instagram account were everybody was bitching about the no manual CA thing and their insane worship to the PTS GT3 Touring's I said, "A GT3 without a wing is a Carrera, save the money buy a Carrera you won't reach the potential of a GT3 anyway". Well you can imagine how that comment went over! Some thought it was funny and a few that probably don't even own a P car flamed the hell out of me. I had to tell them it was a joke (kind of)

914. I remember my first ride in a Porsche was a 914 in the ‘70s. My best friend big brother. It was like a large go kart. Amazing. Their dad had a 930 Turbo but then again didn’t all airline pilots?

That infected me with the Porsche bug. Now look at me.🤪

The dealerships there must be flaming, and lots of folks will be heading outside of Cali to place their orders

also,... yet again, another supporting reason that 997 GT3 prices will be heading upwards .... again ...
as a friend opined, "many CA residents that will buy these cars will register out of state anyway".
no big deal IMO, but I'm not in the market.
