Default Tipping your transport delivery driver?

How much do you guy usually tip your delivery driver? I gave the drive of my Cayenne $100 back in 2016. Wondering what if anything is tipped? The shipping cost alone was over $1,900 from Reliable Carriers.

Thanks!

I would say its still about the same. I recommend between 50.00-100.00.
Although, tipping is earned and not required .
If driver is asking for a tip , then I recommend not.
It should be freely given as appreciation for service. Did he communicate the entire way , was the driver accommodating to your dates and or schedule, etc

Right now drivers are making a pretty penny - so I don't think necessary at this time , unless he was all of the above!

Thanks guys. I may have been a little generous. Doesn't matter as the transport company said 3 weeks before they can grab the car then 1 week of travel time. You'll see the car in a month. Ordered transport last Thursday, Friday am, I got the call that the car was being picked up Sat morning. Got confirmation on Sat am, and thought I'd see the car the following Friday or Saturday. It arrived bright and early today, two to three days earlier than I expected. Actually 3 weeks earlier than I expected.

I'm getting quotes for $700 - $1100 for a 100 mile transport (which I think is a bit dear....)

I'd uber up and get it myself but it's getting full detail and the cicadas are coming this week - I did that before in Australia and it was a MESS

I always (well almost always) tip at least $100. I'm one of those "if in doubt tip". I live by the rule you can never "over tip" someone. I feel blessed to have what I have (even though I credit myself for it) that I try and help out as many as possible, especially in the service industry. To me, nothing says thank you more to a medium to low paid person than a wad of cash....

Can of soda and maybe a snack plus a nice fresh crispy $100 bill is my norm.
It doesn't hurt to offer use of your guest bathroom as well...sometimes they are too shy to ask.
