Stumbled upon a link of Jerry Seinfeld’s 991 RS that was for sale and noticed he had Porsche do a factory rear wing delete and I think it can be copied onto the 997’s
heres some pics. I don’t have the ability to make this but it doesn’t seem too difficult of a shape to recreate. I think it looks really good. Link to the post https://www.roadrichmotors.com/2016-porsche-gt3rs

Should be easy enough to do if you were intent on removing the wing and uprights. Just need to fabricate end pieces to the spoiler. Took these when I swapped out to the Baron uprights. I photoshopped the holes out of the first pic.
I have this carbon fiber duck tail on my GT3 (not my pic). It has intake vents in the top of the duck tail. I had mine painted black and specially built to match up with the Gt3 airbox.
I was switching back and forth between wing and ducktail when track season was over. It felt a little audacious to show up to the office with the wing and I prefer the understated look.
In the end it's too much work for me to switch back and forth. PM me if you're interested in buying it. I have all the associated parts including the non-gt3 brake lite trim piece etc.
My personal thought is: it's your car, do what you want. Somehow you ended up with enough money laying around to buy an RS... you'll probably make good decisions.
It’s an interesting look kind of Sport Classic look.
In the end analysis though imho the RS wing is integral to an RS being an RS. It is what it is and was meant to be that way. Don’t neuter it.
If you want more understated buy a C2.
This is just mho.
BTW how can you find a Sport Classic? Would love one. Likely expensive these days I’m sure.
C2 can only dream of being an RS, even a GTS isn’t close. I agree the wing looks proper on the RS but for the sake of changing things up. I thought it’s a great look. I get plenty of attention with the GMG bypass blasting that sweet note

Nothing wrong with changing things up. That’s why God made blondes, brunettes and red heads.
