Default Tune question

I was looking at a .1RS and when I had the DME read it showed. 0’s zero down the board. Here is my question. If the car has been tuned ( which the dme report shows it has 2 under programming operations. (So it shows it is tuned) will it wipe out the over revs? Or will they stay in the dme? Thanks for any insight.

They should stay on still to my knowledge.

DME report will stay the same after a tune. You could be starting from scratch if the car had its ECU replaced with a new one from the dealer. Does the owner have an explanation and/or receipts?

From my understanding (which was mostly from Doug at Switchcars), it would be very difficult for a car to have the number of over revs reset. Also keep in mind that a car could have programming operations from the dealer as well, so it may not have been tuned. Especially on a GT3, I'd tend to think if it just had 2 instead of 1 programming operations, it'd be more likely it had dealer service work, but that is just my guess. Any change you can talk with a dealer and see if they can pull all of the warranty work that was done on the car? That should be stored within their computer (since I think that comes from PCNA) even if they don't save normal service records past a certain amount of time. Start watching around the 6:00 mark for information on programming operations.
