Warning everyone - I was there about 4 weeks ago and there was a lot of gravel on the road, and also falling from the hillsides. I left the gas station at the bottom at around 6:45 am, and on the way back form the ranch there was still gravel falling. Likely because of some winds on that day, not atypical at this time of year. Enjoy.

Interesting, I live at the bottom and slightly east of ACH and it was very windy today.

Was up there last Friday with the GT3 and Monday with my bike and it was fine. We got snow a few weeks ago and it is true that following the storm there was gravel/salt/rocks on the road. But the gravel/salt is mostly gone now. However, rocks are always present, all year long.
That being said, the Crest is NOT a race track so let's make sure we enjoy our cars responsibly and watch out for the road conditions.

I may do a quick run tomorrow or Friday and will report back if I notice any unusual hazards.

Sounds fun. Wish I could join but I'm still recovering from a fractured left patella. No clutch work for me. Be safe and enjoy!

You guys are killing me... I was on my roof before work this morning shoveling snow off the bottom couple feet to prevent ice-damming

Have fun in the canyons. Please don't post pictures

Had wheels off the ground for an oil change yesterday and noticed wire showing on the inside of R rear tire. Couldn't get a new set of PS4S today, so won't be going tomorrow. Next time, I hope.

Just read my emails and noticed that PCA San Gabriel Valley Region will be meeting at the same time and same place than us.

To avoid confusion between the two groups, here is the composition of ours: 6 997 GT3, 1 997 non GT and 1 992.

Also, we will be meeting on the UPPER parking lot at the address indicated on the first post.

See you all tomorrow!

Same here. Thanks Patrick. Nice meeting you guys, and so sorry we left without Raudi Driver. I had forgotten my radar detector and was so surprised that once we got up 2 a little bit there was no LE. At all.

Even after the honeydo roadblocks I faced this am, I was able to get out of the house when my son awoke and said he would go. We managed to meet up, even if it was only for a minute, and it was totally worth it. Thanks to Patrick for setting this up.

On my way up, I saw you guys flying down and was like, they appear to be having slightly more fun than I am. I blasted to Newcombs and then hightailed it back down thinking you guys were gone as you folks had a nice pace going. Glad you decided you didn't get enough cold morning air and pit stopped for a few.

Kevin, your 997.2 looks like it's brand spanking new. Congrats. Looks great even though I really wanted to see those stripes and those hips on that 992. Oh man
