Bought the 997.2 GT3 today. Big shout out for the help!
Hey folks
Just drove home in the white, CPO 2010 GT3 w/ 13k miles I had mentioned. I did finally find out about the title transfer, and I'm in good shape there because though Isringhausen did not collect tax on the sale, they did report it to California. The DMV does not care about it but the Board of Equalization may well and whether or not they do anything about it is not going to affect me personally. I got the correct form a Reg 262 from AAA and that's it. It's a secure watermarked form, so you cannot download it. It's has a power of attorney is why.
I want to really give a big thanks to everyone that piped in about this and that, and the private messages that I received that were so gracious. @KDAUWG97M3 went way out of his way, and @Bxstr, @cfgen, and others who sent me info here and privately. Nothing compares to Rennlist.
The car. It really is in amazing shape. I thought there were scratches on the back of the seats and I must have been seeing things during the stress. It's just a few normal ones from the seat buckle. I bought a meter and the paint is all original. That was a relief. Driving home was f*cking amazing. The suspension is better than I hoped for. The noise is SUBLIME and EXACTLY what I needed. The stripes will come off. No big deal. It's my perfect spec, which is slightly understated.
I ran up Azusa Canyon/Highway 39 and it was the bomb. Perfect. Snapped some pictures and on the way back traffic stopped. I mean stopped. I asked a guy walking back from the direction ahead and he said "A white Porsche just like yours rolled over" It was a 991 GTS, Wonder if it was rennlister The driver seemed unhurt.

Congrats and welcome to the madness! If you are open to some mods down the road, consider:
Enjoy in good health and keep us posted on your ownership experience!
- center-muffler bypass. It really opens up the exhaust and the car sounds so much better! Plus less weight on the backend. Keep your stock muffler for future sale. Easily reversible.
- unplug the side-muffler valve control in the engine bay. Any drop in low-end torque is not noticeable (at least to me) and the extra noise, even when cruising around town, is totally worth it. I ended up installing the Valvetronic controller so I can manually switch the valves on/off. My neighborhood is Sleepyville and I am concerned about disturbing neighbors coming in/out. If you don't have that concern, you can get by just unplugging the controller.
- Next time you get your car plugged into a Durametric or other diagnostic computer, have the tech enable your front side-marker lights to blink when you engage your turn signals. For some reason NA market cars have that functionality switched off. I think it is safer and a good feature to have.
- Pin your coolant lines if they haven't been done. It's worth the peace of mind and if/when you sell, it will increase the value and appeal of your car.
Enjoy in good health and keep us posted on your ownership experience!

Enjoy!
I've had mine for almost two years and it makes me giddy with every turn, brake, and acceleration.

You know, I'm not hating the stripes. I'd leave them on for a wee bit before I pulled them. Enjoy them and see what peeps say about it. You can always remove them in the future.
