As you already know, it's my personal favorite color combination as it's the same as my own RS. Huge congratulations to you, and she looks even better now that she's yours!

However, I am very happy with the 997RS and believe it’s the right move.

My stable is modest but I love it. Very analog and more classic every day.

2005 FGT
2012 Boss LS Ingot silver. Only 150 produced.
2012 987.2 Spyder
2011 997.2 GT3RS
I wouldn't call that a modest stable! A 7.2 RS itself is great...add a Ford GT to the mix, and wow!

Is the graphic on the wing an option? I know they were on the 4.0's but with how clean that car is was that added by a PO?

Good question. My wife asked that same question.

Congratulations on the new addition Waxer. A friend of mine is thinking of making the same change you just did 991 rs to 997 rs. Enjoy in good health!

I have a wonderful 991.2 GT3RS. Now yearning for a 997 RS again. I had a 997.1 RS in the past. I’m an analog guy at heart. Just sent my 57k mile FGT off for a refurb. I’m the original owner.
I’m seriously considering looking for a 4.0 997 RS.

Hard to say right now based on the very short drive on Saturday. Immediate impression is that the RS has a “denser”/ huskier, edgy, more “mechanical” raspier feel based on its heavy clutch, light fly wheel, gearbox and snappy fast revving more powerful engine. You can tell it’s a Mezger race car derived beast. I saw immediately why these things are coveted by enthusiasts.

Spyder is wonderful. Eager but not edgy. Smooth and balanced. It’s got a light and playful character. Wonderful steering. Not super fast but not slow either and capable of great pace based on its power and balance. Great for a Sunday drive on country roads. Top down is the bonus. They are a Porsche gem for sure.

What they both have in common is the tactile connection they have with the driver. As if they are an extension of you. If that makes sense.

I’ll post more as I get some real seat time.
