You are right on there. Just did that yesterday. The truth is now that California has allowed these agents to act on their behalf the time it takes at DMV has improved. But I will still never go there again if I can avoid it.

AAA can even do it, if the sale is between private parties. But if you buy from an out-of-state dealer, they won't do it. I just went through this.

I can get in and out of my local Pasadena DMV in 8 minutes. Its' crazy how they've streamlined it.

Have all paperwork ready and your check already filled out.
