Default First Mod: Dual color LED drop in bulb.

First mod on 997.1 GT3: “Fog Light” Update. Even Porsche calls them fog lights, but really halogen driving lights....although stock ones are yellowish! Had good luck on my overland Land Cruisers with IPF brand drop in LEDs. Once I established size for 997, found what you see in pictures. Stoked when I found dual color LEDs as I’ve always liked the look of ambers on 911s..... White is quite intense providing much needed wide street edge illumination. Ambers are back off some on intensity. Perfect solution for those value improved lighting options and want to keep the stock fixtures. I actually prefer this to 997.2 look knockoffs. Oh ya, also replaced running light with white LED, hence a little white light visible with ambers on...

Those look great! Thanks for sharing.

I agree that I’m a fan of the stock housing compared to the aftermarket options. The aftermarket .2 look on the .1 just does not look as good to me. Obviously though the actual .2 running lights are great.

How do you switch the colors.

Holy cow, I just went to buy a set and they are a staggering $214.

Price changed, I got mine for $180 and I always get 5% off using my Amazon card. You pay for the quality. Good build quality that you can see and feel. My Land Cruiser set have been running strong for 3 years now. That’s turning them on every time I drive as I really don’t like the stock 25% power yellow DRLs.

Pretty ingenious, you just use your regular driving light switch and double click it to changes colors. Little chipset onboard.
