I’ve had my car for about 2 years and the other day my friend was driving and he noticed that right around 4K RPM from a rolling start at WOT the car seems to hesitate a little. From a standstill at WOT there is no hesitation. Car has 12k miles, oil changed last month. I didn’t notice it until he pointed it out. Now before I take it in, is this normal?

It could be the ignition coils failing. They age out. I had similar symptoms. A check on a proper PIWIS will tell you.

If it's misfiring, it should throw a CEL and a code.
